At Tapestry Financial Services we use state-of-the-art technology, enabling us to meet all of our clients' financial needs both personally and corporately and achieve their objectives in the most cost-effective way. This is important because there are literally thousands of different options available and our clients want to be certain that any investment, pension, mortgage, healthcare or insurance recommendations that we present for consideration are the most appropriate to their individual needs. In other words, recommendations that are totally in our client's interests – not someone else's.
How we are paid
At the outset, Tapestry Financial Services arranges a preliminary meeting for the purpose of establishing whether we are able to assist with the prospective client's needs and objectives. At this meeting, we also discuss how we will be paid for our services should we be instructed to proceed. There is no charge to you for this preliminary meeting – we will bear the cost of this.
After the initial meeting, we will agree with you whether we are paid by means of a fee payable by you, by means of commission incorporated in the cost of any financial product you buy, or a combination of the two. Please note that there is no commission option for investment advice. Fees may be subject to VAT and we will advise you whether or not this is the case. Whether we take our remuneration by way of commission (where appropriate) or fees will be a matter of discussion between us, followed up with a written agreement – no charges for fees will be made without prior notification. We are flexible as to how we are paid and will work with our clients to meet their needs and requirements on this.
A fee of £995 payable on production of an offer to enable the purchase of a property or to remortgage. We will also be paid commission from the lender. A fee of 2% (but with a minimum of £1,250) of the loan amount for a complex mortgage arrangement (e.g. impaired credit, right to buy), for example, if the loan amount was £100,000 our fee would be £2,000. We will also be paid commission from the lender.

If you cannot settle your complaint with us, you may be entitled to refer it to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
